Despite the less positive memory performance, the ECS board yields a very good image editing result. It's the fastest AM3 785G board tested, and its overclocked result is several seconds faster than every other board. Lovely!
Handbrake H.264 Encoding
Website: HandBrake
Our test uses HandBrake - an open-source, GPL-licensed, multiplatform, multithreaded video transcoder, available for MacOS X, Linux and Windows - to encode a high resolution MPEG-2 video using the H.264 codec. This primarily tests multi-threaded CPU and memory subsystem performance.

On the other end, the lack of memory performance and no core unlocking clearly hinder the ECS board in video encoding as it's the slowest tested at stock speed and barely commands a few second advantage compared to the Asus AM2+ and DDR2 board when overclocked.

As we flip back and forth again, multitasking performance is fantastic. Overclocked and the ECS board whips through the benchmark in record time, shaving tens of seconds off the competition.
